This Privacy Policy explains how Halo Apps Ltd ("Tethar", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through this website, www.tethar.com. It covers the website only. The Tethar apps have their own in-app privacy information, provided separately when the apps become available.
In short: the only personal information this website collects is what you choose to give us — your email address if you join the waitlist, and the details you enter if you contact us. We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we are
Halo Apps Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England & Wales (company no. 16989292), at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London. You can reach us at support@tethar.com.
Information we collect
- Waitlist sign-ups — the email address you submit so we can let you know when Tethar launches.
- Contact form — your name, email address and message, so we can reply.
- Basic technical data — like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (for example IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not use this to identify or profile you.
How we use it
- To notify you about the Tethar launch, if you joined the waitlist.
- To respond to your enquiry, if you contacted us.
- To keep the website secure and working.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are your consent (waitlist), our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and running a secure site, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Cookies
This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses a small amount of your browser's local storage only to make features work — for example remembering your cookie preference and saving progress in the interactive demo. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who act on our behalf, such as our website host and the form service that delivers your messages to us. They process data only on our instructions. We never sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist emails until launch and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to remove them. We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to deal with it and for our records.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, and object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe from the waitlist) at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@tethar.com.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website is aimed at parents and guardians, not children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. Tethar as a product is designed to protect children's safety online; how the apps handle children's data is explained in the separate in-app privacy information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product develops. We'll change the "last updated" date above when we do.
